After spending a couple of days in the chaos of Trivandrum, packing and shipping our bikes home, we headed back to nearby Varkala for a couple of relaxation days before starting the multi-leg journey home.
Varkala is a beach destination that is popular with the backpacker set. Big package tours tend to prefer nearby Kovalum, forsaking the cliftop accommodation that is characteristic of Varkala.
I had a great morning out shooting the Indian fishermen as they worked their massive nets for the daily catch.
