There were coffee and spice plantations in the hills around Madikeri and it was harvest time for coffee during our visit. We saw coffee beans on the bush and laying out to dry.
Indian coffee is exported throughout the world, with major markets in the US, Europe, Australia and Russia. Next time you’re enjoying a cuppa Joe, think about this darling young girl who might have been the one to pick the beans of your brew
