Tourists come from near and far to explore the traditional backwaters of Kerala. Hundreds of boats ply the trade, filling the canals with floating hotel rooms. The Mekong region in Vietnam has a much more rustic experience for those who want to see traditional river life, but without the convenience and uniqueness of the houseboats. We had a fun crew that enjoyed a lot of our beer and rum, but served us up with some great meals and a fun cruise.
